So when our state & local tax deduction (SALT) was eliminated to fund tax breaks for billionaires, Tom Suozzi got to work and wouldn’t quit until it was restored. Last year, most of our SALT deduction was back in the tax code, but Tom Suozzi won’t give up until we get it all back. 

Tom Suozzi doesn’t like anybody squandering our hard-earned money. That’s why he has consistently fought against corruption and fraud in government, both when he was Suffolk County Executive and in Congress. He’ll never stop fighting to slash waste, root out fraud, and stop the excesses that are adding to the national debt.  

In Congress, Tom Suozzi voted to cut the price of insulin down to $35/month. He’ll take on Big Pharma to make all medications more affordable, and he’s standing up to health insurance giants who keep trying to put profits ahead of patient care. 

Tom Suozzi knows that the money we pay in to Medicare & Social Security each and every paycheck is OUR money. Tom won’t allow anyone in Congress to get away with cutting our benefits or changing the rules on when or how we can start drawing on those programs.

Tom Suozzi fought to stop the IRS from forcing your credit union or bank to turn over private financial transaction data. Tom is also focused on strengthening consumer privacy and preventing online financial fraud. 

Tom worked to increase funding for the Long Island Sound Geographic Program by 1000%. He also co-sponsored the re-authorization of protections for the Sound, preserving our waterway for years to come.
